Project Engineer

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of California, Merced

    Peter joined Mil-Spec in 2012, shortly after completing his degree. Since then he has gained hands-on experience in all of the various manufacturing processes related to magnetics, which enables him to apply his engineering skills in Mil-Spec Magnetics Project Engineering.  

    In this position, Peter establishes process outlines for production staff to follow that yields consistent product throughout the lifetime of the program. MSM Project Engineers develop the Parts Travelers, Manufacturing Procedures, Production Tooling and fixtures, and finally the packaging of parts for shipment. From start to finish, the Project Engineer is responsible for all technical logistics of production orders. Peter specializes in the manufacturing of heavy gauge wire and Copper foil machine wound transformers. 

During his college years, Peter was on the Formula SAE team at UC Merced, the only UC to compete, and built a compact formula car from ground-up. Peter was involved in chassis design and fabrication.
